MAGICMOTORSPORT announces the introduction of a new technology called HOCUS-POCUS. At the moment we are releasing the first part of this magic spell: HOCUS function.
Performing HOCUS is simple:
- there is no need to open or drill into the ECU box. It remains sealed.
- the operation takes approx. 25 min
- it does not affect the possibility to update the ECU
- it is transparent for all diagnostic tools (with no risk of losing the vehicle’s warranty).
In February 2015 we will release the second part of this spell: POCUS. POCUS is a sort of time machine.
If you previously performed HOCUS on some ECUs, performing POCUS will bring this ECU magically to its former conditions.
Example of use:
John in October 2014 purchases a new BMW X15 50d and he would like to have more power, but he is worried about the car’s warranty and so he decides to leave things as they are at the moment. John’s friend using the X FLASHER performs HOCUS on his car. Everything remains ORIGINAL. The ECU is not at all compromised. In January 2015 John receives a call for service. An authorized Service Center performs a full checkup of the vehicle, it refills the windshield washer fluid and updates the software of the engine controller. John is happy, but with the refilled washer fluid the car is heavier and John needs more power. In February 2015 John goes back to his friend . He connects the X FLASHER and performs the POCUS procedure. Now John’s friend can read and write the maps of this ECU again.
HOCUS-POCUS technology is now available for all X FLASHER (and MAGP1.18 plugin) users.

Our tool is a must for all workshops that work on BMW and Mini vehicles. It is the best solution for the EDC17CP45. Usually any attempt at opening this ECU leads to irreparable damage but our new tool allows you to access the correct pads through the case. Our special adapter allows you to drill holes in the case and gives you access to the correct connections. This allows you to to work normally in Tricore Bootloader. No special skills are required, the drill is calibrated to stop automatically at the right depth. It is a fool proof device that will not harm your unit.
For all our clients who work on ECUs in Bootloader MAGICMOTORSPORT has created a new MAG BENCH adapter for work on the all ECUs that require work directly on the board.
This special device makes work on these units much easier and the strategically placed holes in the grid guide your probes to the correct points on the board, bypassing any need for soldering the pins.
